Hi I'm Ikaikaolahui

Family is so important to me. I love to serve and help out in any way I can, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. They are always there to support me and I'll always be there to support them. They helped me become who I am and how could I not love and support them! I have one older brother and we are very close. He is the sporty one and I would be the intellectual. We have helped each other through some hard times, like brothers should, and it's only a little scary that we are growing up! It's very exciting to see the adventure that life is! I trust that God is going to help me grow and be the best person that I can be. He is the reason that I've been blessed with a family and experiences that have helped me grow! I see how all of these experiences have led to me to where I am today. I want to be a cardiologist because I enjoy helping people. I feel like this is a way that I can help many, yet focus on the one. I want to heal hearts, one at a time! Right now I am a missionary in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission. I have served in Easton, Pennsylvania, Easton, Maryland, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, Scranton, Pennsylvania. I am currently serving the people of the Camden, New Jersey Area!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it makes me feel happy. I grew up in the church and learned much about the gospel as well as scripture stories. As I got older though, I lost my way. I now realize that it was because I was not putting proper effort and faith into living my faith. I was going through the motions without putting my heart into it. I wanted to know joy and I had always been taught that God is the way. How could I not try my hardest to actually know God? I came to know God, truly know Him, as I read the Book of Mormon, Bible, and prayed. I finished the Book of Mormon for the first time in my life when I was 19. I listened to the exhortation given in the final chapter about knowing if this book is the word of God. I prayed to know and I received my answer. The Spirit of God confirmed to me of its truth. I cannot deny that Heavenly Father has led me to the truth and has filled my heart with joy. I know that he loves me and he loves all of His children. I wouldn't be here today if He didn't love me. I know that the happiness, this great and continual joy, that I feel is because I am doing what Heavenly Father is asking of me. I know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ’s church with His authorized servants. I know He restored His Gospel through Jospeh Smith. I know that this is the way to true joy and you can find this same joy that I experience.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day, when I am around people and when I am alone. I am helping others to learn who Jesus Christ is and build their own relationship with our Heavenly Father. In addition to that, I help people move things, I help them find their ancestors, and I knelt them know in any way that I can that they are special and loved. Everyone needs help sometimes and I live my faith by being someone who will help in any way that I can!

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

I know that finding Heavenly Father is so important. I have found that the best way that I have come to know him is through prayer and scripture study. He has given us these such great tools so that we can come to know what His attributes are and how we can follow Him. I know that as we study the scriptures and search for Him, we will find Him and be able to grow our personal relationship with him. Prayer is how we communicate with Him so if you want to know someone, you need to talk to them! I know that prayer is real. As we address Him and then take time to listen, you will be able to grow your relationship and come to know Him and the goodness that He has. Show more Show less
