Hi I'm Dale

I was born in California and grew up in Spokane, Washington. I have lived in 8 different states. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired. I worked for 31 years in the Chemical Industry. I retired early, moved from New Jersey to Olathe, Kansas to be near our grandchildren and then bought a small business. We then ran a small vending business and some rental apartment Units for the next 5 years. We recently sold our Vending Business preparing to serve a Mission. My wife and I have now received a call to serve a Mission in the Philippines. I like to travel. I have visited all 50 states and over 15 different countries (but not the Philippines). I also like camping, hiking, backpacking and scuba diving. I like to watch sports and am a fan of BYU, the Yankees and the Kansas City Sports teams. We have 4 children each born in a different state and 9 grandchildren. We love our family and try to see them as often as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, the Restoration of he Gospel and of Joseph Smith. I have prayed to know if these things are true and have felt the Holy Ghost testify to my soul. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he lives. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and I have prayed to know that it is true. I have felt the calm reassurance that it is. My life and my family have been blessed by this knowledge and by trying our best to live by the principals taught by Jesus Christ and found in the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have served in many callings in the church. I worked with the Young Men's program for many years and have participated in many service projects and outings. I have taught Sunday School and Priesthood classes. I have served in three different Bishoprics and been on the High Council three different times. We served a service mission working with a small congregation about 50 miles away for about 2 years and loved working with those people. I visit with 3-4 families each month for hometeaching and try to help them with their needs.
