Hi I'm Anna

I was born and raised in southwest Louisiana. I have lived all over the United States. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a degree in Elementary and Special Education. I have worked in several different elementary and middle schools around the United States. I like to go hiking and backpacking in the mountains. I have four children and nine grandchildren. I love baking cookies with my grandchildren and making craft projects with them. I like to read and I also like to quilt.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. My grandparents joined the church before I was born. I have always attended church and have always had a testimony. When I was in college I was taking a philosophy class that made me think about what I really believe. I started to ask myself if I knew the gospel was true. I talked with a friend about it and he had me think about how I felt when I lived the principles of the gospel. I then read in the Book of Mormon in Alma chapter 32 verse 27 where it says to experiment upon my word and exercise a particle of faith. In the next verse it says if you start to do this you will know that the word is good because it will enlarge your soul. As I thought about this I knew that the gospel is true because it did enlarge my soul and it felt right. I am so thankful to know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and He sacrificed himself to save me and that I can live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I have taught children, youth, and adults in classes at church. I love to teach because it gives me an opportunity to learn more and help others learn as well. I visit regularly with members of my faith each month and share my testimony of Jesus Christ with them. I have volunteered my time to help others by making meals, doing clean up after a flood, doing service projects for the elderly, and many other things to help people in need. Participating in these activities has blessed my life.
