Hi I'm Jesse

I love to cook and bake, have a decent hand in drawing; have lived in Florida for most of my life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a fairly quarky guy I enjoy Indie rock, classical music, and modern alternative with an occasional splash of techno/electronica. I'm serving my mission and love every moment of it be it the current freezing Cold of Idaho, or the soon to be sweltering heat of Brazils coast! In my free time I use to be found playing my PC, varying from games to making art. When not at the desk I'm usually cooking and baking food, absolute favorite right there; and when time permits as well with location hiking in the mountains is my way to escape the humbug of everyday life. I am an Eagle Scout. Me and my family have lived in the two extremes of the U.S.; Alaska where you either have 22 hours of daylight, or 22 hours of night, and Florida with the ever pleasant heat and humidity coupled with many thunder storms.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member for my whole life, and like a lot of things, I took it for granted for a long time. My faith in Jesus Christ and his church was skeptical at times and especially in high school I wondered if it was true. It was not until I had lost who I was as a Son of God for me to realize it. So now I actively follow His gospel, I like to compare myself to the Sons of Mosiah who had rebelled against god. When they were reconciled they sought to teach the gospel and to live it so that they could bring all others to Christ, to save them from the pain they had endured. I strive to live my life as best as I can, and I know that Christ has blessed my life and saved me from misery . His Atonement is real, and the power to lift the burdens of guilt is real. He can change anyone so long as they are willing to change and have a desire to change because he changed me. I know that this is the restored Church of Jesus Christ that he once lead in the Holy Bible. More importantly that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ in the Americas, and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. These foundations are key to my life and they are part of who I am.

How I live my faith

I try to be active as I can with the gospel. I work everyday in trying to come nearer to my God through diligent scripture study and prayer. As of now I'm currently serving my mission and never before have I felt stronger, having an opportunity to share with strangers who are interested is a beautiful experience. It's really true that as we teach or share our testimony not alone are they edified and uplifted, but we are as well.
