Hi I'm Alyse

I was born and raised in Arizona. I want to study genetics in college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read books. Any that sound good that i can get my hands on. I played the violin from 5th to 12th grade but have let it slip away as life has gotten busy. i recently got my associates in science from a community college and hope to attend a four year university to major in genetics. I am serving a mission and am excited for the opportunity to spread the joy i feel. As well as to help people to improve their lives and be the kind of people that our Father in Heaven wants them to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i believe that there is more to this life than making money and looking out for number one. I try to live a good life because i believe that there is life after this one and that in that life to come we will be with our families again. In my high school years we had the opportunity to take a religious class during the school day. i treasured this time as it was a needed break from the influences at school. During one year the teacher had a question posted on the wall. "You are baptized. but are you converted?" i looked at this phrase every day. I hadn't really given that much thought before. i had been baptized yes. but could i say i was converted. i couldn't answer that when i first began the class. and so i prayed. and prayed. and asked for a confirmation of my gospel knowledge. and i felt that what i had been learning all along is true and that i knew what i should be doing.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a missionary. trying to best represent my savior as i come in contact with those who are seeking for answers to lifes questions. I try to be an example in my everyday life. I try to live as if it happened to be my last day and i were to meet my maker, what would i have wished i did. I enjoy teaching the children in church. They are filled with sweet innocence and have such a desire to learn. I also have nieces and nephews. I feel there is so much to learn from these little people when you get down on their level and just listen. Children share what is in their hearts with no filters.
