Hi I'm Chad

Youngest of five sons to goodly parents, BYU student, and a missionary in Oklahoma City!

About Me

I am a Brigham Young University student, and I just finished my first year of college. I am aspiring to become a city planner and one day a director in city planning. That being said, my favorite object easily has to be a map. I enjoy studying and analyzing maps--all for fun! I like exploring new places and broadening my horizons. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading, working out, map-drawing, and many other activities!

Why I am a Mormon

I've believed in and had a testimony of the gospel for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home with parents who kept the gospel strong in their lives. I don't know what kind of person I'd be without my parents' example. Of course, there came a point in my life where I had to choose for myself which path I wanted to take. Without my parents I wouldn't have seen myself serving a mission or being a part of the gospel. When it came time to spread my wings and go to college, I readied myself to go to BYU and live on my own. The main reason I chose to go to BYU was so I could immerse myself in a spiritual environment and see if this was really what I wanted. Turns out I was right. I had so many incredible experiences at BYU and learned so much about the gospel and myself. I found that doing the right thing and living the gospel was the best way to make me happy. I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father lives and that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that He died for us so all of us could be cleansed for our sins. Whenever I do the right things, I feel amazing; whenever I do something wrong, I feel awful. Of all the things out there that can make me happy, being a member of this church stands out as number one!

How I live my faith

I have served in various church callings that have been both challenging and rewarding. I helped my bishop bring my ward together, I helped the ward flow cohesively, I helped bring young men closer to the gospel, and I've led many people along with myself to come closer to Christ through my testimony. Nothing feels more fulfilling than helping others feel happy in the same manner which I have felt. I am grateful to have served in those callings, and I can only speculate on what God has in store for me. At the present moment, I am incumbent to the Lord for two years doing one of the most difficult church callings: serving as a full-time missionary. Dedicating two years of my life to bring people unto Christ is a monumental challenge that gives me no greater satisfaction. I want people to be able to experience the same happiness that I have felt by being a member of this church. I'm excited to see the fruits of my labors and see what two years of serving brings to other people!
