Hi I'm Shantal

If I'm not out seeing the world I'm at home gathering my little family in close. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a new mom and just moved from the United States to the United Kingdom this year, so right now I'm busy learning the ropes of not only parenthood, but also of a new country. I've always loved to travel so while I'm full of anticipation to see more of the UK and the world in general, I'm also grateful my little girl and husband keep me grounded and focused on what matters most. I am a dancer. I studied dance education in university and have tried to keep dancing post-graduation, including teaching, performing, and choreography. I am teaching myself to sew. My mom is a seamstress extraordinaire and now I wish I had learned more under her tutelage, but I know I can always call her up and get her advice. Thankfully my daughter is too young to refuse to wear my homemade clothes for her.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that by living this gospel my heart is constantly buoyed up and healed from any heartache and stress I experience. I know that my Father in Heaven supports me constantly throughout each and every day and I can feel His love as I spend time with my family.

How I live my faith

I try to take time each day to communicate with my Father in Heaven and express a little bit of the gratitude I feel for how richly blessed I am. I also try each day to ask for help to be the best mom I can be to my little girl. On Sundays I teach a group of 8 year olds (all boys) about our Savior. They remind me that sometimes it is important to get up and learn about principles like forgiveness from new perspectives and with new eyes.
