Hi I'm Ryan Freeman

I grew up in Utah and I love it here. I'll be serving a mission in Seattle, Washington this June. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a twin sister, and we are best friends. I love to snow ski and Utah is the perfect place for it. I also love to play basketball and football. I also enjoy practicing and playing guitar in my spare time. I just finished my freshman year at Brigham Young University and I absolutely loved it. I'm excited and currently preparing to serve a mission in Seattle, Washington.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life and I firmly believe that it is true. I've read the book of Mormon multiple times throughout my life and each time I feel a greater spiritual witness that it is true and that it was translated by Joseph Smith through the power of God. I know it was written for our day. I also believe that God still gives revelation to people today through His prophets and by the power of the Spirit. I love this Church and most of all that I can be with my family forever in the eternities.

How I live my faith

I have served as a ward missionary and a ward chorister in my home ward. More recently though, I've developed a love for indexing names and was called to serve as a ward indexer. This process consists of taking documents of previous generations and documenting them electronically. I love serving those around me and have recently participated in a BYU service program called Brighter Horizons that serves with at-risk youth. As I stated before, I'm planning to serve a mission beginning this June in Seattle.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Ryan Freeman
The Word of Wisdom is revelation given to us from God in order to help keep our bodies and minds healthy and strong. It was originally revealed to Joseph Smith in 1833. It is a law that is given to protect us. God has spoken against the use of tobacco, alcohol, coffee and tea, and illegal drugs. I believe that we will receive blessings of good health as well as many others if we live by this law. Show more Show less
