Hi I'm Jess

I am 20 years old. I want to be a teacher when I grow up. I love my friends, my family, and Jesus. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore at BYU and am taking 18 months off to serve a mission for the LDS church. I will serve in Washington DC as a representative of Jesus Christ. I am the second of four children and I love my family. I truly think that my family is cooler than all others. I love horse-back riding, photography, and music. I have played violin all my life and love to sing. I am a book worm. The perfect night involves ice cream, a movie, and dear friends. Who I am is shaped entirely by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I strive to be like Him everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being Mormon makes me happy. I know that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, and that because of His atonement and sacrifice there is hope. I am not perfect and I make many mistakes. The knowledge of the restored Gospel gives me hope because I know that I can repent and return to my loving Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because it brings happiness to my family. We can be a family forever! I am a Mormon because I know without any doubt that The Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith restored Christ's Gospel to the earth. I know that there are living prophets on the earth today. I am so thankful for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the countless blessings that have come from my membership. I love the Lord and I love His Gospel!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the people around me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' is Jesus Christ's restored gospel. One of our main goals is to become like our Savior, and He has commanded us to love HIm and to love our neighbors. I take advantage of all opportunities to serve so I can learn to love more fully.
