Hi I'm Kenny

I grew up in Southern California. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year of college at Brigham Young University, and am now serving in the Chile Concepcion mission. I am very excited for this new chapter of my life. I am the middle child in a family of seven, love my four siblings very much. They are all great examples to me, even the younger ones. I ran crosscountry and played soccer in high school, and will play just about any sport. I love competition, even if don't always win.

Why I am a Mormon

I originally started off being a Mormon because my parents were. I grew up in this church and never knew anything different. As I got older, I realized all that our church had to offer and how it really was true. People had told me all my life it was, but it's different when you find out for yourself. It is much more meaningful that way. Once you find out that it is true, there really isn't anything else you would want to do than to be a Mormon. I discovered the truth, and as a result, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

In my ward at BYU, I was in charge of making sure the sacrament was always ready for church every Sunday. This meant making sure we had bread and water ready, and also people worthy and able to both pass and bless it. Growing up, I really loved to play soccer, and always wanted to play on a club team. These teams had more talented players and played year-round and I always wanted to join them. The problem was they played games on Sunday, but I didn't so I couldn't join. It used to be a hard decision to choose not to play on those club teams, but now it has grown easy and isn't even a question for me anymore.
