Hi I'm Rees

I am a born member, a college student, I have been called to serve a full time mission in Canada, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young man attending BYU in Provo, Utah. I am considering studying history, but am not completely sure what I will be studying. I am one of six children, three boys and three girls. I have lived in four different states: Utah, Indiana, Ohio, and Washington. I play the trombone, and enjoy reading and watching sports. I enjoy classical music and jazz.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have faith and a testimony that this religion is correct. I have studied, prayed, and pondered on the doctrines, and have received my own testimony from the spirit that they are true. Also the lifestyle of a Mormon is fantastic. The absence of alcohol and tobacco makes violence in the home very uncommon among Mormons. We strive to live healthily, and to love those around us. Being a Mormon can sound like it isn't very fun, but that is because some people have a very narrow definition of fun. We find joy in simplicity and peace, and in each other's company. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have served in every position in an aaronic priesthood quorum, from secretary to president. I have a firm testimony of the Book of Mormon, and have read it multiple times. I strive to always follow the Lord's commandments in my life, and to strive to have charity towards everyone around me. I am far from perfect, but I have faith that if I do all that I can, the Lord will forgive my mistakes. I have a powerful testimony of Christ's atonement for me, and am thankfull everyday for everything he has done for me.
