Hi I'm Brooke

I'm a very blessed woman with a close family and wonderful husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of seven kids. I have eleven nephews and five nieces. I have two nieces that are going to be born in May 2013 and I'm also expecting a baby girl the same month. My husband and I are really excited to start our own family. Family means so much to me. I don't think there is anything better then just spending time with the family. My parents have always been such wonderful examples to me. I'm so thankful for all they have done for me. I hope my husband and I can be the kind of parents they were to me. My parents always made sure the gospel was the center of our home. I know when the gospel is in our homes that we will make more righteous decisions, we will be closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus, and we will be happier.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I can't live without this gospel. If I didn't have the gospel I would be lost. I grew up in the church and was baptized when I was 8 because I had such faith that this gospel was true. Since being baptized and growing older my testimony of the gospel has only grown stronger. I could never deny the truthfulness of the gospel. I have had too many spiritual experiences that have confirmed to me just how true the church is. A huge testimony builder for me is reading the scriptures. I love reading them because they help me know what I need to do in my life. I have heard many non members say that our church has too many rules, but I have never viewed them as rules. I view them as things we need to avoid or do in order to be happy. Heavenly Father and Jesus want us to be happy and they know what is best for us. I have so much faith in them. I have also read the Doctrine and Covenants which has given me the testimony that Joseph Smith really did receive revelation to restore this gospel on the Earth. I'm so glad that we do have this gospel. It brings me so much joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. It is my whole life. I pray everyday. My prayers have been answered countless times. I love praying, because I love communicating with Heavenly Father and Jesus. They have helped me so much in my life. I know they love me and what a wonderful thing to know! I also live the gospel by studying the scriptures, attending the temple, and going to church every Sunday. At church I teach the 9 and 10 year olds. It's so much fun teaching them about the gospel.
