Hi I'm Ali Walker

I am going to serve a mission in Fortaleza, Brazil. I am so happy with my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Utah my whole life. I have a family that is the most important to me. I have two older brothers and a little sister. They are my best friends. I currently have been attending Utah Valley University. I have been taking classes to become a nurse. I would love to work in the labor and delivery room. My family and I love to play sports. Since I was little I played basketball, volleyball and have ran track.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church. There is no way it can't be. There were times when I was younger and I didn't have a testimony of any church. I rebelled a little and went on a path that wasn't leading me anywhere. I just remember my mom and dad always encouraged me to attend church and try and live the gospel's standards. They were an example of obedience and love for me. As I swallowed my pride and did that I found the greatest happiness I could ever know. I get a beautiful sense of peace knowing I'm following my Heavenly Father's plan. I now am the most excited girl because I get to share these feelings with people in Brazil. I can't wait to tell them that sometimes you will feel alone and confused, but if you try to live our Heavenly's plan you will become the person you always wanted to be. I'm 19 years old now and life couldn't be greater. I still have ups and downs all the time like all of us, but because of this gospel I deal with my heartaches so much better. I see that I have a place on this earth and that my Heavenly Father wants me to use it to my best potential. He wants me to take each day and live it like Christ would. Our Savior was incredible, he served and loved so many people. He made sure that we could be forgiven of all our sins. I love this gospel more than anything. It makes me tear up seeing the good it has done in my life.

How I live my faith

I love participating in my church. Growing up I have been able to help out with many service projects, activites and devotionals. In college I was given the opportunity to serve as a visiting teacher. I was able to go to girl's apartments in my ward and sit and talk with them about how they were doing. I always had a good time doing that. I also was able to serve them if they needed help with anything. I gained many friends doing this.
