Hi I'm Emma-Leigh

I grew up in London Ontario, I've traveled the world and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and in 114 days I will be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. I've travelled the world and have seen many different cultures and religions. I am the eldest of 4 with 3 younger brothers. I've always loved being around people, learning new things and contributing to my community. Throughout my life I've always been active, whether it's been sports, the arts or service. In high school I played Rugby and participated in swimming, cross country and track and field. Another great love of mine in singing. I am so thankful for all the talents, opportunities and friends that the Lord has blessed me with.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know it's right and true. I have a simple testimony of the church of Jesus Christ, it's something that I was born with. This knowledge of the truth and this surety has always been with me. For some it's not that simple or easy and they have to go through a lot of trials. For me, the trials have been how to get over that fact that not everyone has the testimony/knowledge I do. From a young age I have been tested and retested, the Lord has given me chances to let my light shine, sometimes I am more open and other times I fail. For the most part I am a member of this truth because I have questioned, prayed, sought via the scriptures and leaders and I never let Satan or the hardships of the world get me down. Attitude determines Altitude. The higher you want to go the happier you need to make yourself, and this church makes me happy.

How I live my faith

My mother has always taught me that I have to let me light shine. This is a statement that has blessed my life and has reminded me daily that I along with those I come in contact with have the light of Christ within them. Throughout my life I have been given opportunities to serve within my church. I've served as the first counselor in the Relief society presidency. I've been able to be beehive and Laurel Class president and I am right now the YSA Stake rep. These callings have allowed me to grow and learn specific skills that have lead me to make specific decisions. These decisions have guided me to become better, live better, and love everyone.
