Hi I'm Madeline Foutz

Vegas native, sister to 4, and lover of all things outdoors. I simply embrace every moment life hands me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been described as one with a heart wide open, ready to embrace all life has to offer. Throughout my high school years, I was heavily involved in student government, sports, and a variety of clubs. After graduating, I began attending Brigham Young University where I am studying pre-communications. Throughout my freshmen year, I joined the Student Leadership Association, Women in Business Club, and the Triathlon Club, while working at the local ice cream store. Additionally, I am an avid runner and enjoy evening jogs throughout the beautiful, green town in which I attend school. Lucky for me, I am surrounded by beautiful mountains can be found hiking, boating at local lakes, and in the winter, skiing down the slopes. Whether sitting on the dock dipping our feet into the lake, or watching the sunset after a long hike, I live for those moments that just make life worth living and loving.

Why I am a Mormon

Although a member of the LDS church my entire life, I experienced my own conversion process. There isn't one moment in my life in which I knew the church was true, but rather, it has a been a building process in which I slowly but surely gained faith and trust in my Savior. With attendance to youth camps over the years, including a church history trip across the country, my faith increased in all aspects of the gospel and I have grown to understand my Heavenly Father's love for me and my role in this beautiful Plan of Salvation. Whether the tender mercies experienced every day or the light of Christ shown through the kindness of so many around me, I know that Heavenly Father has me in my hand and is guiding me through this mortality. When looking at the blessings I have been given, I can't help but want to give back and the way to do this is to believe in Christ, follow the commandments, and dedicate my life to helping others and lifting them up. That is why I am Mormon, to become my best possible self, and help others along this wonderful plan our Heavenly Father has blessed us with.

How I live my faith

Action speak louder than words; therefore, I cannot simply state that I have faith, it is my actions that declare my love for my Savior Jesus Christ. The simple of acts of smiling at people as I pass them in the streets, being patient when dealing with a frustrating situation, or simply listening to a good friend going through a hard time is how I live my faith in Jesus Christ. Even though my relationship with Jesus Christ is certainly a personal, I am blessed with an incredible support through my ward and stake. Growing up as an active participant in church activities, creating relationships with other members certainly encouraged me to keep coming back. Within the youth groups, I had the opportunity to hold multiple leadership responsibilities in which I planned activities, reached out to many of the girls within our church, and worked with adult leaders to create an optimal atmosphere for church activities. Once moving to BYU, I became a ward prayer director, where I planned a get together each week for the entire ward, and later became and Family Home Evening Leader where we would have activities every Monday night for a certain group of kids within the ward.
