Hi I'm Sean

I have a twin and eight other wonderful siblings. I love playing the piano. Die-hard Pokénerd. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19-year-old Utah boy with a twin! He's five minutes older than me. And he never lets me forget... I love playing piano SO much! Although I only have a very limited musical repertoire, I love playing. I don't read music, just play by ear and watch videos on the Internet. I come from a pretty large family (9), and we can get pretty crazy. It's the sort of thing that you'd have to experience to see how crazy it gets. My twin is my best buddy! We're polar opposites, but we understand each other very well. As you can see, I love cats. Me-yow. And Pokemon. Go Pikachu. I am currently out serving my mission, which is when we are sent to a certain part of the world to teach about the Book of Mormon and our other beliefs for 24 months. I was called to the Mississippi Jackson and I love it so much! As this is the Bible belt, me and my companion meet many people in favor of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, which is rejuvenating to me. I've been out for over a year now!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the choices my mother and father made to raise me and my siblings as Latter-day Saints. I'm STILL a Mormon because I've seen the positive impact on my life when I decide to live it. I've seen many people born into good Mormon families and decide, later on in their life when they have more independence, to abandon the church and its teachings. Knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, a Savior who can sympathize with everything I'm going through because of His sacrifice for us, and a living prophet on the earth today has blessed my life so richly. In a world that seems to continue down a perilous path, it comforts me to know of certain things to come and how the church's teachings can prepare me to live in the presence of my Father. I lost my dad in 2010 and that shook my world in ways that I cannot explain, but because of the knowledge that I have about this Gospel, it has helped me get through that and become stronger from it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by adhering to the standards and commandments that have been given to us by our Heavenly Father. As God has done since the beginning of time, he has given commandments to us through prophets, or enlightened men with the gift of prophecy and revelation. We believe that more commandments have been given to us through a modern-day prophet, for example, regarding our physical well-being, our Lord has established commandments that we follow so that we could take better care of our bodies. I live my faith by trying to do my best each day; I know that the knowledge and tools that I receive through being a Latter-day Saint helps me in every single aspect of my life. School, work, mission, and I know it will help me in the future when I start a family. I'm out in Mississippi now hoping to give that same chance to those that are willing to listen.
