Hi I'm Janna

I'm passionate, multi-faceted, and resilient. I just joined the church recently.

About Me

Animals and nature are two of my biggest passions in life. My pets are a huge part of my life - I have five dogs, two cats, a horse, and quite a few reptiles. I love doing things outdoors - hiking, camping, exploring, horseback riding, and more. Besides outdoor activities, I like arts and crafts, reading, cooking and baking, and playing games.

Why I am a Mormon

For many years, I called myself an atheist. The truth was, I was angry at Heavenly Father for things that happened in my childhood, for my daughter's murder, and that my ex-husband had been abusive and adulterous. The first I really had a chance to learn much about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was when I started dating my boyfriend, who was born and raised in the church. He is the most moral, decent man I have ever dated, and treated me better than anyone else I had ever been in a romantic relationship with. He also helped me become a stronger person and give up my self-destructive behaviors such as smoking and drinking. His strong faith and morals made me curious to know more about his church. I was always supportive of his involvement with church, and would ask him questions about his believes, but it took dating nearly a year and a half before I started seriously trying to learn more about what the LDS church was all about for myself. I started meeting with missionaries and going to church regularly on Sundays. The LDS beliefs made so much more sense to me than any other beliefs of other Christian sects, and I knew it was true. After much prayer and study, I decided to be baptized. I was baptized on March 30, 2013.

How I live my faith

I am active in my community by attending church on Sundays and participating in Young Single Adults activities.
