Hi I'm Haley

I was born and raised in St. George. I'm a student at the local University and hope to someday become a teacher. I'm LDS

About Me

A few things that I love to do are reading, creating things (i.e. crafts), cooking, and most of all spending time with my nieces and nephews and doing things with them. I'm going to college right now at a University and hoping to become an elementary school teacher in the next few years. I've graduated from Institute and Seminary.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of His church because without Him, I would be so lost. I have been a member my entire life. In my opinion sometimes that leads to being comfortable in the spot you're in, and so you feel like you don't need to progress or learn any more. But you do. You can never learn enough about God and Jesus Christ. Or their infinite love and mercy that they have for us. I make mistakes, everyone does. No one is perfect, but we can keep trying and progressing. Without the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I wouldn't be where I am today. Even though I grew up in the church, until I truly became converted to the gospel, I was just going through motions. Not truly knowing for myself whether this was the true church. I can testify to you that this is. God loves us and he waits for us with open arms, begging us to come back to Him. His love is unconditional. You can always count on Him and trust in HIm. When you're feeling worthless, and that you could never be forgiven. I felt that way for a long time. I didn't know how God could ever love me after what I had done. Stop thinking that. That is what Satan wants us to believe. He wants us to doubt and to fear. But we have no reason to doubt and fear. I know that this is the true gospel. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet called of God to lead us in these terrible times. I know that through Christ we can return to our Father in Heaven. I believe this with every fiber of my being. I say these things in the name of our beloved brother, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping any one that needs it. I believe that through serving others, our lives will be so much better. In my ward, I help plan fun activities for the Young Single Adults and we do different games but at the same time tie it in with service. We do a service project every month. One time we helped at a local soup kitchen for a day and another time we went to people's houses and asked if there was anything that they needed. Serving others doesn't necessarily mean something big. It can be as simple as looking someone in the eye and smiling at them, or even just saying hello. You can never know how big of an influence your actions have on those around you. Also, just taking the time to talk to people. Like really talk to them. Don't just ask them questions and not listen to their answers. Really listen, be sincere.
