Hi I'm Michele N

I'm a retired Registered Nurse. I now work in the Elementary School as a lunch supervisor. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom, a grandma, a sister, and an aunt. I enjoy several hobbies: camping, gardening, sewing, crocheting and knitting. I enjoying getting old furniture and refinishing it. I also enjoy bike ridding and walking. I have a BSN which I earned when I was 50 y/o. My oldest daughter and I graduated college the same year one week apart. (We were able to attend each others graduation) I have a 15 y/o daughter who I adopted 6 years ago. I also have 2 sons. My two youngest children are members of the Mormon church and are sealed to me. I was a convert to the church when I was 53 y/o.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a born again Christian, but I felt that something was missing from the church I was attending. I prayed that God would lead me to his true church. I started attending different churches. A friend took me to an LDS (Mormon) church one Sunday. I felt like I had come home. That Sunday I asked the missionaries to come by and give me the lessons. I found what was missing from the previous churches. The Book of Mormon. The missionaries were able to answer every one of my questions. When I prayed the holy spirit witnessed to me that this was indeed the true church of God that I had been searching for. I was baptized as a member of the Mormon church. I have a testimony that this is the true church of God, the same as the church that Jesus Christ started and then restored through Joseph Smith. I believe that President Monson is a true prophet of God guiding our church through revelation from God. I believe that Jesus Christ suffered and died so that I might return to live with him when I die. I believe that he resurrected and lives today. I believe in prayer being answered and I know that my sins are forgiven. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I am active in the church, attending all Sunday services and many social functions. I attend the Temple when ever I can. I like to help the members when they are moving in or out of the ward, and coordinate the times when others can come and help them. I am active in the over 35 singles group where we have pot luck lunches after Sunday services. We are supportive of each other and have wonderful friendships within our group. I have four sisters that I visit each month to give them a lesson and talk about any needs they might have at that time that I might be able to help them with; Or just to offer them friendship. I pray daily and study my scriptures. Last year I read the book of Mormon from cover to cover.
