Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in San Diego California. And I am a professional musician in the United States Army.

About Me

I am soldier, musician, and a return missionary. I play the Tuba for the United States Army for a living, but music is only a small part of the army life. You have to be tough, physical, and ready to adjust to the demands that may present themselves. I studied music at a great University upon completion of my LDS Mission, and was able to use those skills that I learned there in my personal and professional life.

Why I am a Mormon

Though my family has many ties to the very beginnings of the Restoration of the Gospel, my conversion was a struggle I had with God for many years. During those years of my youth, I diligently sought for understanding of what God's will might be, and after a sincere effort of asking, seeking, and sometimes even knocking that both my mind and heart understood that God is real, that His Son Jesus Christ is the redeemer of mankind, and that His gospel is the true way of worshiping Him - Indeed to follow Him. Since that time, I have experience wealth of knowledge and a great desire to do as the Master who have me do. I am not perfect, but I try my best to be obedient to His commandments. I am always impressed by the revelations that the modern day Prophets have received on behalf of all of us. From Joseph Smith to this modern day, there has been an outpouring of knowledge and direction in a time when such direction is so greatly needed. I am grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and for the Book of Mormon giving a second witness to that vital doctrine.

How I live my faith

My church calling deals with helping the locally assigned full-time missionaries in reaching out to members of the church who may need a message of hope and a helping hand, and those who may be interested in learning more about the Church. But being a branch, I also help out with the choir, playing the organ, and assisting in teaching classes and visiting members.
