Hi I'm Britni Johnson

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. I am preparing to serve a mission in Columbus Ohio and I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I am currently 19 years old and I was born and raised in Kearns, UT which is just outside of Salt Lake City. I have five brothers and one sister. I was baptized at 8 and just took out my own temple endowments in preparation for my mission. I have been called to serve in Columbus, Ohio and I leave on May 29th, 2013. I am the first in my family to serve and I am so excited. My family has been an amazing support from the beginning when they changes the missionary age and I decided I need to serve a mission. My family doesn't have very much money but as soon as i decided to serve, things just worked out. People were offering to help right and left, in any way possible. It was absolutely amazing to me. Things have been hard waiting for my time to serve but I have come to love and know my Savior and I am becoming a better and stronger person. I constantly feel nervous, anxious and inadequate when thinking about my mission but I know that is Satan and I refuse to give into his influence. I go to the temple at least once a week and strive to keep the Spirit of the Lord with me at all times. I am excited to serve the Lord and I am so lucky and blessed to be a part of the gospel and this church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born and raised in the Church and have been taught it's truthfulness and light my entire life. My ancestors came across the ocean from Europe and settled in UT. It is thanks to them that I have been raised in such a wonderful church and valley in a center point for the church. I have been so blessed in my life with many family members helping and supporting my testimony to the point where I can rely on it for strength and guidance. I have always known that this is the true church and where I am supposed to be. My life has been full of little affirmations and spiritual experiences to further confirm my love and knowledge of this gospel and the Church fo Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am blessed and proud to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living and loving the gospel with all my heart, might, mind and strength. I surround myself with righteousness and good examples. I keep my standards high and stick to them. I am proud to be a Mormon and i am excited to share what I love and believe in with everyone around me. I have a strong testimony of God's love for me and his hand in my life. When things get hard, I turn to the Lord and His blessings in my life. So many times, the only thing that has gotten me through is my knowledge of the Atonement and God's and Christ's constant love and companionship to me. I fill my life with the spirit of the Lord and proudly live my faith, constantly nourishing my testimony and letting my light shine.
