Hi I'm Jack

I'm an actor, I spend most of my time singing and listening to music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For most of my life, I have been a dedicated actor. Being onstage with my friends and telling a story to those in the audience is really how I get away from the troubles of the world. I've been singing longer than I've been acting, so listening to music has always been an activity I enjoy. My favorite genres of music are Jazz, Country, Old Rock, Pop, and Alternative (stuff like the "Killers"). I was raised into the church and I was baptised shortly after my eighth birthday. I plan on being a member of the Church for the rest of eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

Both sides of my family are LDS, so I guess you could say I was never exposed to anything else with other family. I have loving parents who take care of my little brother and I. They support everything I do and I know that my career in acting would be nothing without them. I try and model myself after my father. He has a strong testimony of the Church and I hope to have one as strong as his when I get back from my mission. Thats why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I go to church every sunday and attend my regular classes, and on tuesdays I go to Boy-Scouts where I get the opportunity to learn new things that could help me in daily life situations. I love to lead the rest of my quorum and help them reach their best.

Are Mormons Christians?

Jack
Well, the church IS called "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" so that must imply that there is some form of Christianity, right? "We believe in God the Eternal Father, and in his son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." ~First Article of Faith. When I'm asked this question, it's usually in the form of an accusation. I was once accused by a classmate of not being a Christian, and his reasoning was quite amusing. "You guys think that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three separate people but they're not! Christianity is where they are one person!" I was able to explain to him that Christianity doesn't depend on if they're the same person or not, it depends on how you view Christ and if you're willing to take his name upon you and be righteous.
