Hi I'm Kevin D. Cooper

I am a Mormon. I live in Roseville, CA and have lived here since my mission with my wife of 15 years and our 4 children.

About Me

I love all sports and play most of them. My real passion is playing basketball and hitting the gym to work out. I love nutrition and have completed my B.S. in Nutrition and a special Masters Degree in Maternal and Child Nutrition from UC Davis. My true goal in life with my career is to teach people how to live and eat healthy. I enjoy singing and often perform musical number in various events. I have 4 sisters and 3 brothers. My wife and I have been married for 15 years and have 4 children. My oldest daughter is 12, son Elijah is 9, the next daughter Ari is turning 8 soon, and our youngest boy, Isaiah is almost 3yr. All my kids play sports and are very outgoing and active. I served an honorable full time mission in Finland and have served in callings from primary chorister to counselor in the bishopric. My favorite calling so far is definitely Primary Chorister. I love playing board games and even video games when I have the time. I like to work on cars and gained some mechanic skills from my father. My favorite car is a 67 Camaro. I even enjoy playing Pokemon card game with one of my bestfriends, who is actually a little older in age than me. We love the strategy games for sure. I love the gospel and would say my favorite scripture is from the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 26: 24-25.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is Jesus Christ's true church on the earth to which I belong by being a Mormon. The church was established when He lived on the earth and delegated it to his apostles, along with the priesthood authority to act in his name. All the pieces essential to belong to Christ's true church were then contained within the principles and ordinances. After Jesus was crucified and all the apostles were killed, many true and essential parts or pieces to the gospel were lost to the earth. Until 1830 when the gospel was restored to the earth again by and through a prophet of God, Joseph Smith. Soon thereafter all the parts or pieces lost to the fullness of the gospel were restored to the earth. There is great comfort and peace in knowing for myself that Christ's true church is on the earth and I am blessed to belong to it. I have prayed and asked for myself and know through the Holy Ghost that this is God's true church. I love it and will never doubt.

How I live my faith

My wife and I try to be as active in our religion and faith as possible. We both have callings and have children old enough now to go to mutual or weekly youth activities during the week. We have family prayer together every morning and night. We have Family Home Evening every Monday night together. We read our scriptures individually daily on our own and together as a family as often as we can daily. My wife and I attend the temple at least once a month together and sometimes more often if we can. I strive to live, act, and speak in accordance with our gospel standards and expectations every where I go and with whom ever I interact. I love to live the gospel of Jesus Christ.
