Hi I'm Alex

Born and raised in ENGLAND :) I love country music, summer and simply having a laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old and I'm from England. I have four amazing siblings, I love my family and how much they have and continue to bless my life. Horse riding is my hobbie, I started horse riding with my mum when I was 8 and fell in love with it! I love the country and listening to country music. I play the piano and the guitar, I love music and learning new songs to play. I love to play Basketball, it's just the best sport! I love hanging out with my friends, they are so great and have had a huge impact on my life. I'm grateful for the examples they are to me!

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the privilege of being brought up in an active and dedicated family who love the Gospel and it's teachings. From a young age I attended primary, I loved my primary years. I then left primary at the age of 12 and went into the young women's program. I can honestly say that the years I spent in young women's strengthened my testimony of my loving Heavenly Father and of his beloved son Jesus Christ, my saviour and redeemer. Although I have been a member of the church my whole life, I received my own witness and testimony in 2011. I was 16 years old and was facing some personal trials of my own, I had not spoken to anyone about the trials I was facing. I struggled to get on my knees and pray, I was doubting my testimony. I had met with the missionaries whilst facing these trials, they knew nothing of how I was feeling. One of the missionaries had started to speak about the Book of Mornon and how it is able to answer any questions I had, at this point I had no faith that this was possible. He then opened the Book of Mormon and began to read Alma 7:11. Knowing that he knew nothing about how I was feeling I began to feel overwhelmed with the spirit, I was comforted and knew my Father in Heaven had heard my prayers. I could not deny what I had felt, I knew The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints was the true church restored on the earth today. I'm grateful for the testimony I have of the church and how I am able to be the happiest I can be because I have this wonderful blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith day by day, I try to participate in activities that will uplift and strengthen my testimony. I attend my church meetings and activities. I am now trying to relate the scriptures to myself so I am able to study and understand them more, I try to apply what I learn in my day to day life. I am now a graduate from the early morning seminary program, this required attending church at 6am to study and learn more about the Gospel, the early morning were certainly a challenge. But I am able to look back now and see how much seminary was able to bless my life. I am in no way perfect and I struggle with my personal studies of the Book of Mormon but I try and live my faith everyday because I know it is what my Heavenly Father would want me to do. As long as I know that I am doing all I can to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ I know I will be blessed and that Heavenly Father will notice my efforts.
