Hi I'm Liam Thomas Rainey

I live in England and have done for my entire life, im planning to serve a mission in a few years and i'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very active Sixteen year old, I enjoy lots of outdoor sports such as, mountain climbing, climbing, rugby, rowing and cycling. I have done all of these for a few years now and I am working towards Qualifications in a few of them. I also enjoy Debating and playing chess and I took part in the Urban Debating League and I was my School Chess Champion. Its a tight squeeze fitting everything in but some how I manage it. And on top of all of that I Love going and helping the missionaries. I have been a member of the church my entire life, I was raised with all the morals and standards of the Gospel. I am soon to be advanced to the melchizedek priesthood. I enjoy fulfilling my duties as Sunday School President. I am currently planning on serving my mission straight after finishing college in 2016, I look forward to receiving my call. But in the mean time I'll just go out fellowshipping and like I did recently serve a Mini-Mission. It was Amazing! I had two Great Companions Elder Ilori and Elder Payne, EMM. This has just made me all that more excited to serve a mission and devote two whole years to the Lord. My testimony took a while to build and I am still building it. But I Know that God Lives and that he loves us and that his son Jesus Christ Died for our sins and that This is the true Church, Every single part of it is True. Amen

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a 'member' all my life but i never really knew for myself whether the church was true or not because I'd never really been put in a situation where I could gain a testimony. But when I attended my first Convention, I had gone with loads of unanswered prayers and as I was at morning and evening devotionals and reading my scriptures each day I was overwhelmed by the power of the holy spirit answering my prayers, on the thursday before testimony meeting the mission president came down and did the evenings activity and afterwards invited us to go and find a place to pray to know whether the church was true or not and so I found my usual spot and knelt down and began to pray and as soon as i did i was overwhelmed by the spirt confirming the truth of the gospel to me, I continued to pray and was sat there praying and being uplifted by the spirit for about 15 minutes, the power of the spirit was so strong I couldn't talk during the 15 minutes I just sat there and cried. My testimony is as follows, I Know that Jesus Christ is my savior and that heavenly father loves and cares for us all. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that heavenly father and Jesus Christ appeared to him in the grove of trees, I also know that he translated the book of Mormon the most correct book of all which contains the fullness of the gospel. I know that The church of Jesus Christ of Later Day saints is the only true church on the earth, and that Jesus bled and died for our sins. I also Know that we have a living prophet today Thomas S. Monson and that he receives revelation and guidance for all of gods children

How I live my faith

I am seen as a very active member in my ward. I try to attend church every Sunday and fulfil my duties as Sunday School President. I love being able to serve the Lord. Something I love to do is to help move the work along, whether that be by doing my Home Teaching, Fellowshipping with the Missionaries or as I recently did Serve a Mini-Mission. This is where you are set apart as a Missionary of the Church and you serve with the Missionaries in which ever area you are sent to and you devote a small amount of time to serving the lord. This is usually between one and six weeks, I served for two weeks in the Whitefield Area, Ashton Zone, England Manchester Mission. This has been a amazing experience for me I was able to build my confidence and be able to Proselyte more effectively and was able to see many miracles happen. This has been a testimony building experience. I love the Lord and can't wait to be able to serve a full time Mission!

Are Mormons Christians?

Liam Thomas Rainey
Yes we are Christians, We believe that Jesus Christ was our Saviour and Redeemer, We believe that he atoned in the Garden of Gethsemane and that he was crucified on the Cross. We also believe that He broke the bands of death and was resurrected on the third day. So yes we are very much Christians. Show more Show less
