Hi I'm Wendy

I grew up in England. I am a teacher, mother, wife, daughter, sister. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 3 children - 1 has left home, 1 has graduated from BYU Hawaii and 1 is still at school. I have been a teacher for the past 19 years. I have been married in the Temple and have just celebrated my 25th Wedding Anniversary. Last year I had the priviledge of being a volunteer at London 2012. It was an amazing experience! I love to read church fiction. For me it brings the stories from the scriptures alive.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not get baptised until I was aged 13. My parents, although they were members divorced leaving the decision to get baptised to me. I did not have the opportunity to go to church until I was 12 years old but I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to be baptised. I continue to live the gospel because I know that my Saviour lives. By following the commandments I can get to know Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. I teach in an inner-city school where it is important to remind students that they are important and that they can achieve their potential. I have been involved in a number of church-led activities that have supported the local community. I love teaching the sisters each month. It allows me to study the scriptures on a regular basis and to pray for those that I teach so that I know what it is that they need to learn. It humbles me.
