Hi I'm Wendy Martin

I'm a wife, a grandmother and a retiring CFO of an accounting firm. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the western United States, and have had the chance to travel quite a bit. I served in the US Army 7th Infantry Division in the early 1970s, and my husband and I have been blessed with two wonderful sons and three delightful grandchildren. Retirement for us will be a time for new adventures and getting to know and love people in many different places.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was eight years old I had the opportunity to be baptized and at that point I felt the profound power of the Holy Ghost and a deep sense of peace came over me. My faith provide me with hope, indescribable joy, and a sense of sanity when life throws me a curve ball. The perspective of the Gospel helps me understand that all of us on this earth are brothers and sisters and that all mankind may be saved. The goal is to eventually all return to our heavenly parents. Two years ago when my parents passed away within weeks of each other, I felt a strong assurance that this was not goodbye, but that we would be together again as a family after this life. My personal relationship with my Father in Heaven and my savior, Jesus Christ, is the source of my joy. I hope to be active, involved, learning, growing and serving others until I'm able to "die young at a ripe old age..."

How I live my faith

I've taught classes, worked with little children and teenagers, and served in our church's womens' organization. Probably one of my favorite experiences was participating in Cub Scouts with a group of rambunctious little boys. The energy level was contagious!
