Hi I'm Kaitlin Kimball

I am 19 years old. I am currently waiting to serve in the Paraguay, Asuncion mission on August 15. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in North Ogden, Utah. I just finished my freshmen year at Utah State University and I am studying Radiology. I have learned a lot living on my own in college. I learned many valuable lessons that I will use in the future. I have been a dancer for 15 years of my life and it is something I have a real passion for. I love to read. I'll admit it I am sort of a nerd. I love to be with my family, they are what keep me going through the hard times in life. I recently have received my mission call to Asuncion, Paraguay. My life has been so blessed by it. The preparation is a bit scary but it is something that I will always remember. I love serving others, that is one of the main reasons why I am going on a mission. I know it will be tough but I can't wait to become closer to my savior and to help those that need the gospel. I am beyond happy with the gospel and I can't wait to share it.

Why I am a Mormon

My family was raised in the LDS church and it was sort of a habit going to church every Sunday. My parents went through a divorce when I was five and it was really hard on our whole family. This was a real test. My brother and sisters chose a different path in life, I chose to stay active and go to church. I live with the difficulty of having inactive family members but it helps me remember to stay a better example to them. It is such a blessing to be a part of this gospel. My friends have been the biggest influence on my life. I don't know where I would be without them. Seminary has had the biggest impact on my testimony. All through high school it was something that I looked forward to. When I went on to college I had another decision to choose to serve a mission. I had doubts of what my family and friends would think so I wasn't sure if I should serve and I would have to wait until I was 21 to go. When President Monson had made the age change to 19 for young women, I was inspired to go. A few months later I received my mission call to Asuncion, Paraguay. I knew that this was the right thing for me. This gospel makes me so happy that I know I can get through anything with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. His gospel is true. I can't imagine my life without it. I can't wait to find those that are searching for this gospel and preach them the truth. I am a Mormon because I love the person I become when I follow Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's teachings.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings throughout my church. I have been the Laurel President, Sunday school instructor, Relief Society instructor, and recently I have been called to serve in the Paraguay Asuncion mission. These callings have been a tough thing in my life but have blessed me so much. When I think about others I am happier. I love being able to help people who need it and who are searching for help. For me it is best to help others to keep me from focusing on myself. I can be a very selfish person and I try to direct my focus to someone who needs it. Try to help others as much as you can. It can be tough but when my life is busiest, that's when I know I need to go help someone. My callings have blessed me so much and I will always remember the blessings that I have received from them.
