Hi I'm Shalea

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Texas and Oklahoma. I play softball and love to be active, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like talking, meeting new people and sleeping. I play softball for my school! The things I like most about my family are they're Mormon and we're related! I love watching basketball, and listening to music. I can snap with my left hand, but not my right. I can't whistle, when I grow up I want to go to college to be an elementary school teacher. My favorite thing to do, is make people laugh! Well, I guess that pretty much sums it up! :)

Why I am a Mormon

Because I love it! It's what makes me different from everyone else! I know it's true, and its what makes me who I am. Everyone at my school calls me "The Mormon" in fact, more than they call me by my name! So much actually, that I sign yearbooks with: "Love, 'Your Mormon'" I don't mind because it's a name that describes me entirely. People are always asking me about my religion, because they notice a difference in the way I act and talk. Surprisingly enough, it interests them more than you might think. Peers ask me all the time, why I don't cuss, or smoke, or have sex before marriage. I love sharing the gospel and my standards with them, no matter how weird it might seem to them. I am the only Mormon in my grade, and it's very important to me that I represent the church and it's standards to the best of my ability. Every single day I get so many missionary opportunities and I love it! This church has given me everything, I don't know where I would be without it! It makes me so happy, I want everyone to feel the kind of joy it brings me each and every day! I know that the Book of Mormon is true! I have felt the spirit testify this to me. I love knowing that no matter what, I always have a loving savior, who wants nothing but the best for me. Who loves me, and understands me through everything. That has always meant so much to me, and as I go to church meetings, and read my scriptures, it becomes more real for me. I can't imagine being anything but what I am. A Mormon!

How I live my faith

I do my best to attend all of my church meetings, and to gain a personal testimony of the savior and his church. This gospel makes me so happy, I love sharing it with others with any opportunity that I get. I love going to the temple, any chance that I get to do the Lord's work, because of the great peace and spirit it brings to me. I do my very best to be the kind of person that is an example to all those around me of the our beliefs as Latter Day Saints. Living the gospel standards set in the 'For the Strength of Youth' pamphlet is very important to me, so that I can show every one around me the kind of behavior we choose to follow, by the saviors example.
