Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a wife, mother of 4 daughters and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter of two wonderful parents, raised in the north-west of England. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister, and family has always been important to me. I enjoyed growing up surrounded by people, and it was only natural for me to desire that for myself, I have been married for over 10 years to my best friend and we have been blessed with 4 beautiful daughters who bring us great joy and lots of laughter. I love craft, exploring the outdoors and visiting new places. I love to bake and sample what I make! And love period dramas and a good film. I was grateful to have been able to be educated to degree level and gain a teaching qualification, I worked in a Secondary School for short time, then my children came along, I decided I wanted to raise my children myself and stepped away from the classroom, doing supply teaching as needed. I am devoted to my family and spend most of my time doing things for them or with them.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was born my parents were already members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they had joined many years before my birth. I was raised within the church environment, but as a teenager made choices for myself about the religious beliefs I had grown up with, I developed my own connection with them and decided for myself that the things I had been taught were true and helped me live a good life. I know this gospel is true because of the feelings I have had and the blessings I have seen in the good and bad times in life. I need Jesus Christ in my life because it helps give me perspective and motivates me to be better, and know that through Him all things are possible.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my attending church on Sundays and then living those things throughout the rest of the week to the best of my ability! I'm certainly not perfect! On Sunday I teach the young girls aged 12-18, and organise activities for them during the week, I thoroughly enjoy this, it makes me feel young again!! My faith also motivates me to do the small everyday things that make a difference, like giving someone a smile, having patience, being helpful, being understanding. My faith has taught me to pray and read the word of God, these are 2 things that I couldn't live without, my connection with God teaches me that there is more to life than just this short journey on earth and I am so glad, it gives purpose to everything I do, and helps me to deal with things that can seem unfair.
