Hi I'm Dallin

I grew up in Canada. I've been a Mormon for my whole life and am now on my mission in the England, London mission.

About Me

I've lived in Canada all my life. I grew up as a Mormon and am now serving a mission in the England, London mission. I'm the middle child of three boys. My older brother served a mission in Mexico and he really loved it. My younger brother will be going on a mission in the near future as he is really looking forward to it. My dad also went on a mission to Haiti a few years back, he really enjoyed it and talks about it a lot. Some of my hobbies was to play American football and wrestling in high school. I really enjoyed playing them because I loved the teamwork and dedication that they took. I decided I really wanted to go on a mission about 4 years ago. My older brother was on his mission and he encouraged me to really read and ponder about the Book of Mormon. So I did and I prayed about it in order to gain my own testimony. I knew for myself right there and then that it was true through the feeling that I got. The Holy Ghost really gave me a confirmation that everything I had been learning about throughout my life about the Church was true. That's why I am now on a mission in England. I'm here to serve the people here and help them gain their own testimony just as I did, through reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know of its truthfulness.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and so I've been a member my whole life. I choose to stay in the church because I know that it's true. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ and translated the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon was written by true prophets of God and that it contains within it the fullness of the gospel. I know that this is the only true church on the face of the Earth with the proper priesthood authority to perform saving ordinances such as baptism. I know that through the church I can live with my family for the eternities and that is such a blessing to me to know that I can live with them for the eternities. I know that when the time comes that I can get married in the temple and live with my own family for the eternities as well. I know that through continued prayer and scripture study that I can continue to grow my relationship with my Heavenly Father and return to him again. I know that as I do all that I can to keep the commandments that I will be blessed. I know that as others read the Book of Mormon and pray about it that they too can come to a knowledge of its truth. I encourage all who are trying to decide if this is the true church that they should sincerely read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. If they pray with faith that they can get an answer, that they will get an answer through the power of the Holy Ghost. Read Moroni 10:4-5 and follow what it says and you can get an answer for yourself if the Book of Mormon is true. I know all of this to be true and that it can bless all of our lives as we are faithful and have a desire to keep the commandments.

How I live my faith

As a missionary I go out every day and teach people about the Book of Mormon and how the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints can bless their lives. It's such a great experience to be able to go out and teach people about the Book of Mormon and watch them as they grow their testimonies and learn for themselves that what I'm saying is true. They don't have to just believe what I'm saying, they can learn for themselves through reading the Book of Mormon and praying that it's true. A lot of people have misconceptions that missionaries are here just to convince people that the Mormon belief is true, but what we're really here to do is to help others to get a closer relationship with God through prayer and reading the Book of Mormon.
