Hi I'm Daniel

I grew up in Utah I'm an aviation enthusiast and computer geek, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved airplanes. Every time they flew overhead above my city and fly into Salt Lake International, I knew for myself my burning desire to fly. Along side aviation, I have always had a nack for computers. I took my first programming class in 9th grade, and now I want to do a double-major in Aviation Science and Computer Engineering after my mission. I play the double bass as well as the violin. Also, I bike 10 miles everyday to go to school for technical education in 3 fields of study: Aviation, Web Development, and Digital Media. I'm also a sweeper at my technical center, and have gotten my first internship because of teachers believing in me. It is my dream to become a pilot of an airplane, and do web development between flights.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a kid, I never really felt the spirit before. It wasn't until I was giving service did I realize what the Spirit felt like. It really was when I would go do snow shoveling with my dad early in the cold morning. I used to hate it, but now I look for opportunities to serve because of the testimony that one widow gave about how grateful they were, even though they never saw who did it.

How I live my faith

One thing that I know has strengthened my testimony is going to Special Needs Mutual every Thursday. This is where I go to spend time with some of my Special Needs friends who I know have been put here for me to learn how to communicate. If you asked me a year ago for me to be social with others, I would be running away in the opposite direction, as social engagement has always been difficult for me. But through my friends in Special Needs I have learned you need not be afraid. I know that if I rejected the call to serve in the Special Needs activities, I would still be as un-social as could be, but I was promised in my Patriarchal Blessing that if I accept the call as they come, that I should go forth with confidence knowing the Lord will sustain me and assist me as needed to accomplish His work. That is my biggest testimony builder, and His promise to me is coming to pass, there can be no denying it.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

As times continue, we need continued revelation as well. The Restoration allowed us to receive modern revelation from Prophets, helping our link with God stay strong. Show more Show less
