Hi I'm Fred Fairhurst

I grew up in Montana and converted to the Church while serving as a young soldier in the U.S. Army. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of 8 children and I have 25 grandchildren. I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, carpentry and family reunions. I have been a police officer, a professional firefighter, and I am now a retired military member. I have always preferred being outdoors as opposed to indoor activities.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I had no previous religious affiliation, I always felt that God would provide a way for His children to return to Him. I also felt that families are very important and there must be someway for families to be together forever. The Plan of Salvation answered these questions for me and also underscored the importance of Christ's infinite atonement.

How I live my faith

I have always loved working with the youth of the Church and watching them as they mature and receive their own answers to Gospel questions. I enjoy home teaching and the relationships that result from providing service. I also love missionary work and sharing this great Gospel gift that was given to me by two energetic young missionaries.
