Hi I'm Daniel Nikel

I am a husband and farther of two. I work in I.T. and live in England.

About Me

Running is a favorite interest of mine. I ran the London Marathon which had always been a goal of mine and am now settling for half marathons. I worked as a hardware engineer for a long time and also as desktop support and other I.T. related roles. These days I spend a lot of my time with my two children of 3 and 1 years of age. Life changes when you have little ones and I am glad I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife and I are both Sectaries in Church. My role is to assist the Young mens Presidency to organize events and meetings for the young men in the church. My wife helps to organize a much larger group of 60 children (Primary). I enjoy opportunities to share the Gospel with people in the area I live. I don't drive so getting out and about is difficult/time consuming. Whenever Missionaries ask for help to teach a family I usually jump at the chance to assist them in teaching new member of the church. My wife and I enjoy attending events such as baptisms of new members together to share in their joy and be a part of their journey. I am Mormon because it gave my life more meaning. Before being a member I was single and not going to any church. I was always wondering what the real meaning of life was. I used to go to Churches in my youth about age 14 but Grew out of going after a Priest had said to me "God is always with you" from that point on I knew if he was there he was always with me. Fortunately Heavenly farther had paved the way for me to join his church. I met my wife online through a social website and we had talked for 4 years before finally agreeing to meet up. She was a true friend and always there for me and also a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ. I did not have to join the church right then and there however. I saw it as my prerogative to escort my wife wherever she goes and therefore looked for church building near where we would be going to church. Over the course of the next 6 months I was taught by the elders to learn more about the church and found that I could be Baptized which is something I always wanted. I felt If I was to join the church It had to be because I decided it was the best thing for me to do. For my children the church has the greatest plan. I hope that someday they will have the opportunities to serve missions and raise Eternal Family’s. I am blessed with a life full of meaning as a husband and a Farther.
