Hi I'm Diogo

I'm from Brazil, I grew up there. But I live here, in the United States, since two thousand eleven. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like to do lots of things. Lately I've been trying to develop my reading skills, I love to read. I also like to watch movies, talk, listen and be able to help my friends, I love playing soccer, Table tennis and Volleyball. I usually don't talk to much, I consider myself more of a listener than a talker because i'm really shy. currently I'm working at target, ir order to save money for my mission and the things that I need to purchase before I go. I'm going to serve on the Ogden Utah Mission, I'm leaving at May 29. I'm really excited to develop myself as a missionary and most important, to help the sons and daughters of Heavenly Father with whatever they need. I still don't what I'm going to do with my life after my mission, sometimes I feel bad about it but I always remember that, If I do my part, God will show me what, when and how to do. My dream is to study in a good College like BYU, I'll do my best, and if it is the will of the Lord, that dream will become reality.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. When I was a baby I used to go to the church with my mom and my older sister. I was baptized when I was eight and I remember as if it was yesterday. after my baptism, I stayed away from church for a few years. Not for not believing, but I went with my mother and she was not attending. But then, when I was 13, A friend of mine, still a investigator, told me that he had received the sisters at his home and he asked me to join him in the lessons. I instantly felt the desire to come back to the church and to share the gospel. Since then, lots of great things happened to me. I Joined the seminary and had four wonderful years of learning, fun and true friendships. I had the opportunity to go to the church's camp for five years and in my last year as a Aaronic priesthood holder, I went to the EFY, the first in Brazil! It was the most Spiritual thing that ever happened to me. I know that this is the church of Jesus Christ, that the book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith and that he saw the Father and the Son. I know that the Spirit is always with me, telling me what the Lord wants me to do, telling me what I need to improve myself.

How I live my faith

When I was in Brazil, I used to love to go to the temple every week and have a great time with my friends. It was so good to be able to feel the spirit and the peace that the house of the Lord brings us. Currently, I have the opportunity to serve as the Branch mission leader. It's been a really great experience. Working with the missionaries, learning with them and seeing the investigators accepting the Gospel is something that makes me extremely happy! I'm also teaching the Valiants at the primary. Is really good to get to know the children and teach them. I'm always trying to improve myself in order to be a better teacher and example for them. And as a teacher i'm also learning a lot, because all the material on the manual this year, are topics that are going to help me a lot on my mission.
