Hi I'm Julie

I'm a Mum, a nurse and a Mormon

About Me

I wanted to be a nurse when I was four years old and had my tonsils out. I finally made it to become a Specialist Nurse in Palliative Care working in a Hospice. I loved every day. I also wanted six children but four was quite enough, they've now grown up and have their own lives. Thankfully I see my girls fairly frequently and they're doing well. In my spare time I love to read, do crafts, swim, snorkel and diving (although not in the murky waters arounf England) I like long walks in the country and nights in with friends or family,

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on earth today because of the knowledge I have gained since I joined the church, the Holt Ghost who bears witness of all things has confirmed this to me many, many times and I now know that I belong to the only TRUE church. I believe that I have a living Heavely Father, and a Saviour Jesus Christ who has a body of flesh and blood just like us, They know me (and you) and they love me and are always there for me, I KNOW that.

How I live my faith

I really beleive that I was "brought" into the church exactly when I needed to have something rocklike to cling to in my life. I was baptised almost six years ago and almost immediately I began a long series of very difficult trials for me. I was accused of committing a crime; a crime I did not commit and subsequently lost my job, my children and I almost lost my home. My faith and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ was all I had and a clung onto it like a literal lifeline. It was still a difficult time but with the prayers and the scripture reading that I HAD to do I found peace in a time where I thought there was none. I never lost the hope that "One day everything will be alright" I couldn't have done any of these things without my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was and is my light and my hope and every scrap of good which came my way came from Him. I KNOW that. I survived that terrible time thanks to living the gospel. I couldn't have done it alone, no way! I lost all my friends (apart from my church friends) but I have emerged a srtonger person because of my trials and because of who I turned to when I needed help. I would say to anyone considering coming to our church to Come and see. Simple as that. Come and see the light in our eyes and the little something that church members have which is beyond riches. Please just come.
