Hi I'm Alivia

I'm from Illinois. I love making people laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second of three children and I have an older sister and a younger brother. I am a college student studying Psychology. I enjoy trips with my family and creating new memories to laugh about. I love to bake and I also love to eat!

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't born into the church since both of my parents were not members nor did they really know about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My dad was the first in my immediate family to join the church. Luckily for me, I was introduced to the church at an age young enough that allowed me to officially join the church when I was eight. Even though I learned about the church at a young age, I have learned that conversion to this gospel is a process, not an event. I have chosen to be an active member of this church because it brings me true happiness and it is what guides me day to day. I am a Mormon because being a member helps me aspire for the best and to improve my life. Being a Mormon also allows me to see the goodness in others, no matter who they are, where they are from, or their given circumstance because I know we are all sons and daughters of a Heavenly Father. I know that my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ, lives and loves me. This life is too difficult to get through alone but the good news is we do not have to do it alone. The Lord is always there to bear us up and gives us strength when we need it. All we have to do is turn to Him and trust His counsel.

How I live my faith

One of the ways I live my faith is by being faithful in all of my callings in the church. I have held a calling that allowed me to teach Sunday school and also a calling that gave me the joy and privilege to plan and organize service activities when I was on the service committee. My current calling is to be a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, speaking Mandarin Chinese. At the point I am at in my life right now, there is no greater calling than to be a missionary. As a missionary I will be a mouthpiece for my Heavenly Father and Savior for 18 months.
