Hi I'm Jkatherine Mok

ALOHA! I am totally 100% Asian. I love to have fun and smile! And I love Latino. I'm a full-time missionary at Temple Square.

About Me

I am from Hong Kong. I am a full-time missionary. I am serving my mission at Salt Lake City Temple Square. I love being a missionary. Also I was called to serve another mission in New York Utica for couple months. I served in Syracuse- Utica, which is awesome area I was serving, people are super nice to me, especially the members. They fed me whole time. I was studying at Brigham Young University Hawaii in January 2012. I have been studying there for a year. I am going to preach the gospel in English language. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve a mission, and I know that it will strengthen my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I know gospel and the church are true. I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for almost 5 years. I've learned a lot of precious experience and prayers that the church is true. Gospel, which can let me understand Heavenly Father with be here with me, he loves me so much.

How I live my faith

When I got my mission call to Salt Lake City Temple Square. I was so grateful how much the Lord loves me, and wants me to do his work. I love being a missionary. I am grateful for Heavenly Father gives me this opportunity to serve a mission. I know that when I do that, He will bless my family at home. Many people asked me, "Why you want to be a missionary"? I still remember that day, I was working at PCC in Hawaii, my guests who are non- member, and asked me, "Are you a LDS member"? They were interested in our Church. They wanted me to bring them to temple, because they knew that the member of the church, they are so nice! After that day, i had bought them to temple for couple hours. The day after, they went back to California. They called me and said, " We have been attending your LDS church for whole day". In this cause, i knew that i wanted to be a missionary to share the gospel to people. I know that His satisfactions of bringing people to know the church or letting more people to understand the principles of God is far beyond description. So i am trying to be like Jesus!

What is faith?

Jkatherine Mok
To have faith is to “hope for things which are not seen, which are true” (see Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21 and Hebrews 11:1). Each day you act upon things you hope for, even before you see the end result. This is similar to faith. Faith in God is more than a theoretical belief in Him. To have faith in God is to trust Him, to have confidence in Him, and to be willing to act on your belief in Him. It is a principle of action and power. The Book of Mormon prophet Alma compared faith to a seed. If you plant a seed and nourish it, if it is a good seed it will grow and eventually bear fruit (Alma 32:28-43). It is the same with faith. If you are obedient to God’s commandments, study His word, and have a desire to believe in Christ, faith will grow inside of you. Show more Show less
