Hi I'm Kayla

I love people and having adventures. I'm an athlete, a student and a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be sporadic and make memories! Right now I am having the time of my life serving a mission in Pennsylvania. I'm an athlete. I have done everything from soccer to basketball to track and field. I have run at the high school and college levels and loved it! I also love to be outside, especially in the mountains. But I also like music, playing the piano, and attempting to teach myself how to play the guitar. I am going to college, studying to enter the health field of radiology. I love to laugh a lot and make unforgettable memories. I enjoy spending time with my family whether it is boating, camping, road tripping, laughing around the kitchen table or just hanging out at home.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church, but I continue to follow the gospel and teachings of the church because I love the spirit that it brings into my life. Through the gospel I have truly found happiness and purpose in life. Life isn't easy, and just because I grew up in it doesn't mean I have never had doubts or questioned. But I know that I have a divine role here in God's plan and that this is His plan for me. As I have prayed and read the scriptures, seeking for answers to my questions, I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. That overwhelming feeling of joy is the solid confirmation of truth that comes from the spirit. I am a Mormon because I have received an undeniable witness from the Holy Ghost. I know my Savior lives and loves me. I want to be with my family forever, and through the ordinances of the temple I know I can be with them eternally.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith by serving a mission in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania and sharing my love for the Savior with the people of the East coast. I live my faith by not only going to church on Sundays, but by living those principles all throughout the week. I'm far from perfect, but know that as we strive to be an example to those around us, we can be a light for others to follow. Service, a kind word, or a friendly smile can brighten someone's day and help them feel of God's love for them.
