Hi I'm Sam

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have a love for music, especially playing the guitar.

About Me

I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, into a Latter-Day Saint family. I was born and raised into the church. My father home-schooled me until the beginning of my sophomore year of high school. I am now a college student, still trying to decide a major, and facing many changes in my life and constantly discovering new things about myself and how I want to live the rest of my life, with the gospel a constant. I have many hobbies, but I particularly enjoy writing, producing, and playing my own music. Playing the guitar is probably the only thing I can safely say I have a talent for, and I like to utilize that talent as much as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am and will continue to be a Mormon because I believe it is the surest way to achieve happiness in this life. Often I question myself about the gospel of this religion, wondering it's validity, its truth. It can be difficult for me to understand sometimes. But when I look at the wonderful people that surround me in my family and in my ward, I come to the realization that the gospel changes lives, and always for the better. Families that stay true to it stay together. Individuals who continue on in their faith have meaning to their lives, and an understanding of themselves, those around them, and God that I rarely see in anyone else. Those people are happy. They have REAL happiness. And because of that, I know the gospel is true. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively seeking out those who need help in my ward. A group of young men in the ward (including myself) often take part in service projects to help those in need. We'll do things like yard work for widows in our ward, or help members move into a new home or out of an old one.
