Hi I'm Sam

I live in Liverpool England, I love to cook & bake. I am Mormon & have a great love for Genealogy and History.

About Me

I have won a National Award for my work with children. I have a Bachelors in Education and Early Childhood Studies and I am in my final weeks of a History Masters. I served a Church Service Mission with the Publishing Services, and loved the wonderful opportunity that missionary service and missionary work gives us to share joy and happiness. I also love to be around people, and am so blessed to have amazing friends, and a wonderful family who are very important to me and I love them very much (Biological and adopted :)) . I would say I was a social person and my aim is to live in the moment and make the very best of everything. Even though I struggle with a chronic health condition which includes anxiety and depression, I aim to be positive and find the good in every day. I enjoy cooking and baking and love to be creative. I love history, genealogy, reading, anything with an engine, rugby, music, giraffes and world travel and cultures . My favourite colours are yellow and red.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains the fullness of the Gospel, I have known this since the first day I got down on my knees and prayed to my Father in Heaven to ask if these teachings were true. I know that My Heavenly Father loves me and has a plan for each of us individually. I know that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Redeemer, He has the power to heal both physically and spiritually. He is my anchor in the storms of life. I know that we have a living Prophet on the earth today, and because of this we need never be left to wander aimlessly through life without direction and councel from God. The Gospel fills my heart with joy and peace, it puts a smile on my face and sunshine in my soul. Life can be tough and knowing that you are never alone and that you truly can find peace and happiness in the world today is such a great blessing. I know as I read from the pages of the Book of Mormon that I can find strength to overcome my challenges. I have witnessed miracles in my life that have strengthened my faith and the knowledge that with God all things are possible. I know that He listens to and answers prayers. I have learned so much about the great atoning sacrifice of the Saviour and it has given me the desire to become more like Him, to be kinder and more compassionate, to reach out to those who are in darkness and help them to see the light that only the gospel brings. I am so very grateful for all that I have been blessed with, more than I can ever express.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the church as the Stake Relief Society Secretary and I also teach in Relief Society, in my home ward in Liverpool. I also love working with our Missionaries and have a great desire to support them and the work of the Lord in any way I can. Our home is always open for them to teach the gospel. I love to arrange get togethers with those who have found the truth and those still seeking where we can discuss the gospel, share good food and feel the spirit. I also love to spend time with my family and friends, and I am a full time carer for my disabled mother, who is amazing. I think that a lot can be learned from our actions and our standards, from how we serve and support one another and a lot of strength can be gained from showing love and kindness to those around us.
