Hi I'm Lee Brennan

I was born and raised in Sheffield, England. I'm 27. I'm a Husband. I'm a Graphic Designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Having graduated from University, I have been blessed with a job in my chosen field of Graphic Design. I have a wonderful wife that not only makes everything about life better, she is an amazing cook! Together we love to go to the movies and enjoy being with our friends. I love football (or soccer for the americans out there) and play each week for a local team. Playing guitar and writing my own music is how I like to relax and zone out for a while!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Simply because I know it is true. I gained a knowledge that this is Christ's true church when I was 18 years old. Although I was born 'into' the church, meaning my parents were members so I have been attending my whole life, I didn't always live what was taught. I reached a crossroad in my life where I had to make a decision which way to go. I decided that I would try what I had been taught to find out if the church was true, and if it wasn't, it didn't matter! I began reading the book of Mormon and praying to know if it was true. Not too long after I made that decision I was on a holiday with close friends and family when the Spirit of God touched my heart and I knew it was true. It wasn't anything physically overpowering, but that feeling went straight to my core and it was such an undeniable feeling that the church was true. Since then I have served as a missionary to help others find this great peace of mind that I have been blessed with. In life there are problems. Everybody has them. But having the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life makes them easier to deal with. It changes my attitude about life's toils and I am able to use them for my benefit by learning from them. I know where I came from, why I'm here and where I'm going after this life. That knowledge brings so much peace and clarity to me. Most importantly I have a knowledge that Christ lives. That He is the Son of God, that His atoning sacrifice has power to forgive us of our mistakes and that through Him we can return to our Father in Heaven. After standing at that crossroad and making that decision to find the truth, I have never looked back.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my everyday actions. Whether that is participating in community projects, helping someone with a problem, visiting someone to give encouragement or just simply reading my scriptures and trying to be positive throughout the day. Through an organization in the church I organize service projects and fun activities for male members of our congregation aged 18 and over. We have had some great experiences while helping people move house, do work in the home and in the garden or what ever else people stand in need of. Through this same organization I assign people to visit families of our congregation on a monthly basis, to help them in their lives on a more spiritual level. Once a month I am able to teach a class at church which is a great opportunity to teach and be taught.

Are Mormons Christians?

Lee Brennan
In a word, YES. The title of our church is the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. On the cover of the book of Mormon it states it is another testament of Jesus Christ. A prophet in the book of Mormon states, "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophecy of Christ..." (2 Nephi 25:26) Everything we teach is centered around Jesus Christ, His gospel and His Atonement. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Lee Brennan
If you were stranded on a desert island and you were told there were 10 other people somewhere on the island with no water and you had an endless supply of cold fresh water, would you find them and share it or let them die? You'd find them! Well the desert island represents the world, the 10 people represent the worlds population, you represent the church and the endless supply of water is the gospel of Jesus Christ. We want everyone to 'never thirst again' by partaking of the truth of the gospel, so we go out and find those willing to 'drink'. Show more Show less
