Hi I'm Jaxon

I grew up in Utah. I love Chinese food. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 and I am currently attending college. I served in the Fresno, California mission for a little over a month before having to come home for severe mental problems. I am grateful for all my experiences in life and learn from all of them; whether they be good or bad. Music is one of the most important things to me, I live for it and I would spend my life doing it if I could. I also enjoy good food, a good book, four-wheeling, camping, hiking, and sitting outside at night. I play piano and I sing. I use a lot of sarcasm, I carry out conversations in movie-quotes, I am a Grade A Dancer and I am generally a happy person.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to continually follow Christ's gospel because it is a gospel of comfort. It is one of the only gospels I know of that let's me know how much I am loved and that I should not be afraid of anything as long as I live righteously. We believe in modern revelation and I find it such a comfort to know that our Heavenly Father still cares for us and does not wish for us to remain in the dark. This gospel lets me know that I am not saved only by grace, that I have to put forth my full effort if I wish to receive all the blessings that comes from the Atonement. This gospel does not pretend to be easy and it is not, I find it a huge blessing that it requires work on my part for it to take full effect. This gospel offers my soul peace; in such a troubling world I find it a place of true peace and comfort. This is without any shadow of a doubt Christ's church.

How I live my faith

I serve as the first assistant to my bishop in my young men's group. I also sing in my ward's choir to help uplift people's souls with music. I now attend church on a weekly basis and teach in my Priest's quorum.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Jaxon
The Lord gives us everything, the least we can do is give back 10% of what he gives so the church can build his kingdom and help others come unto Christ. It is also a trial of faith, giving up 10% is hard for some people who are barely getting by; but through their faith in tithing, they are blessed and the Lord watches out for them. Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Jaxon
Absolutely not! As followers of Christ, we try our best to mirror his example. Christ helped any & all, regardless of their faith in him. Helping everyone is a great joy to be had. As we have the opportunity to help people, regardless of their background or current life, we get to learn from each other and open our minds to all the many different and beautiful aspects of life.
