Hi I'm Riley

I grew up in Utah. I'm pretty passive and quiet. I am currently serving a mission in Yekaterinburg, Russia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of 8 children. I like to play basketball, and I love volleyball. I actually also like to Swing dance. I love to read books, particularly fantasy books, and I also like to (attempt to) write fantasy books as well. I also enjoy singing. And for just over a year and a half now, i've spent all day every day preaching the gospel in Russia! I've grown to love both the Russian language and the Russian people.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, first off, I was born into an LDS family. My grandparents on both sides are also LDS, as are all of my aunts and uncles. As I've got older I've come to know for myself that this is the true church. Besides that fact, it just makes sense. Why would we just get to live here on earth for 90ish years, then that be the end? I COMPLETELY believe that we will be able to live with our families forever, or else, what is the point of life or families? I know this to be true, and there are a few certain people that I'm saving my first few hugs for when I get to heaven. This is definitely one of the strongest points of my testimony. Whenever I'm lacking strength I just think of my grandparents who died when I was 3 and 5. I want to live well enough to be able to be with them forever. Although I only got a very short time with them on earth, I know that I can be with them for eternity in the life to come. Lately on my mission in Russia, everyday I'm surrounded by Russians. Seeing the strength of the church members has helped my faith grow SO much. Hearing all the miracles of how they met the missionaries and were converted are some of their favorite stories to tell. They're also my favorite ones to hear. Seeing all that they've all went through and had to overcome has strengthened my belief that this is DEFINATELY the true church. I've seen how the church blesses their lives and strengthens their families. I've seen the humility of the Russian members, and it's something to be rivaled. They're all SO humble, and it's amazing to see. They're quick to accept you as a friend and can quickly become your best friend. I'd dare say that a lot of that is thanks to the church in their lives.

How I live my faith

I'm currently in Russia serving as a full-time missionary!
