Hi I'm Stella Leung

I am a born and raised Mormon from Hong Kong. I am currently serving my mission. I love the gospel.

About Me

I entered Brigham Young University Hawaii in January 2012. I have been studying there for a year and four months. Now, I am serving as a full-time missionary in the Washington Seattle Mission. After President Monson announced the missionary age change, I prayed to find out if serving a mission is what Heavenly Father wanted me to do. Given the answer that I should go on my mission, I started the paper work immediately. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve a mission, and I know that it will strengthen my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a mormon family. But I did not gain a strong testimony of the gospel until entering university. Studying overseas was hard for me at first because it meant that I had to be independent. All the trials and hard times I had made me rely on the Lord a lot more. From all trials and blessings I have had, I have learned the importance of being a worthy Latter-Day Saint. I also know that trials need not be spiritually fatal, and Heavenly Father always answers our prayers when we pray humbly and sincerely. Serving a mission is the hugest decision I have ever made in my life. Leaving school, family, and friends for 18 months to share the gospel in a foreign place is not easy at all, but I know that I will be strengthened and supported by the Lord if I am obedient and willing to following the Holy Spirit. I know that Heavenly Father does not call us to fail as a missionary. I am looking forward to sharing the gospel with others so that they may be able to be with their families for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily prayer, studying the scriptures, going to church every Sunday, and magnifying my calling at church. I do not have perfect faith, but my faith in the gospel grows stronger and stronger every day when I follow the teachings of Christ. Very soon, I will be serving a mission in the Washington Seattle Mission. I know that nothing will ever be enough to pay back for what the Savior has done for me, but I do think that giving up 18 months of my life to share the gospel with others is the best way to show my gratitude for Him. I know that the Church is true with all my heart.
