Hi I'm Joy Faith

I'm a Mormon! I know it, I live it, I love it.

About Me

Hi everyone. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I know it to be the only true church upon the face of the earth. I basically grew up in the church because both of my parents are members. I graduated on the year 2011 with Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and eventually passed my board exam, so I am now a registered nurse! I love to read nonfictional books, (nursing books to be exact!), watch movies with my Single Adult friends, I love serving in the Youth Organization-- makes me get young in mind, too. haha kidding In addition, I love eating foods but I'm not gaining weight though. :) I am also an active member of our Choir, i love singing! (though I'm not really a good singer.)

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful to be raised up in a home where the gospel is being taught. I know that this church is true because I have my own testimony about the Book of Mormon, I was able to not ONLY read it, but was able to pray for it's authenticity and got an answer from the Lord that it is true. I know that if anyone who will read this sacred book ..."and would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." (Moroni 10:4-5) I know that God loves us so much, and he has a great plan for us that's why we are here on earth so we can be tested and prove to him that through FAITH in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, proper repentance, baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end, we can go back to His presence and inherit an ETERNAL LIFE which is the greatest of all the gifts of God.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church is filled with fun, adventure, and knowledge. FUN- because we literally have a lot of diverse activities being done in the church. ADVENTURE- because when we do "missionary work", like what you observe in the missionaries knocking on each house, talking to different people, making their conversations comfortable as much as they can to build camaraderie and trust among them. I get to speak to a lot of people whom I do not know, yet got to love them because I know they are also our brothers and sisters who are seeking out the truth .."because they know not where to find it" (D&C 123:12). I've got to have callings extended to me, like being one of the teachers of the Youth during Sunday School Classes, and it has been a great blessing cause I always have to be in tune with the Spirit in order for me to teach effectively, and so I'm developing Christlike attributes as I serve in the Church and magnify my callings.
