Hi I'm Jazmyn

I love life. Art is a thing I do. I am a missionary. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and currently serving an LDS mission in Houston Texas. I love the gospel and know it is true. I love the arts and have a passion for writing, drawing, and creating! My interest is drawn to many cultures around the world. I wish to travel the world and taste of the diverse cultures, places, and people. I love change. It's new, exciting, and unpredictable. I love people, especially my family. Adventures are the best way to live life. To seek adventures in the daily portions of life is enlightening. It is the details of our lives that the greatest things and most important things are found. I love the outdoors. I love cheesecake. I love life. I hope to make a difference to someone someday. Leave a piece of happiness in someone else's heart. Life is to be lived, and I want to really live!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life. I grew up learning of the doctrines and principles of the gospel. I love this gospel and have come to a knowledge of both God's love for us as His children and also of His plan of happiness. This knowledge didn't come easy. This knowledge definitely didn't come over night. It was gained through the little things. I began to understand the truthfulness of the gospel through watching those around me, looking to their examples. I gained my testimony through trial and error. I strengthened my relationship with my Heavenly Father through establishing a habit of daily prayer. I strive to always keep a prayer in my heart because I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and that He cares. I came to better understand my purpose in life through studying the scriptures, praying, and really being able to listen to His Spirit. The Lord is in the details of our lives and I found the truth in moments of peace mixed into the everyday aspects of my life. He is there. We just need to have open hearts to know He is there and know that He cares. Conversion is a journey, not a destination. I am still learning. I am still growing. And my testimony is still being strengthened every single day as I put one foot in front of the other in my efforts to become like Christ.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I strive to be better daily. I look for the positive, recognize my weaknesses, and act to become the best I can be. Now, I am going to be serving as a missionary for the church. I am going to take 18 months of my life and dedicate it to the Lord. During this time I will have the opportunity to teach the gospel unto others and share the knowledge of our faith. I am excited and grateful for this opportunity to serve.
