Hi I'm Chelsea

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I am going to serve a mission in Peru . I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been born and raised as a Mormon and have a big family that is great! I love to read! The Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings, To Kill A Mockingbird, and The Book Thief are only some of my favourites. I also love to study biology and I'm considering a career in neuroscience. I'm going to be learning Spanish because I have been called to serve in the Peru Chiclayo mission. I am also fluent in French and English. I love to read about Greek mythology and hope to someday travel to Greece. I am also I big nerd when it comes to Star Wars, Star Trek, and anything else Sci-Fi! I would love to learn to play the piano or guitar. One of my biggest goals is to be a missionary and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents raised me as a Mormon my whole life. I am also a Mormon because I believe what my faith teaches. I know that Joseph Smith Jr was a Prophet of God who restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and was brought forth by the power of God. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet and leads the Church today. I know that this Church is true and because of that I choose to be a Mormon. I have felt the Spirit and it tells me that this is the Church of Christ. I have had prayers answered and witnessed miracles in my life that have left me without a shadow of a doubt that there is a God who is our Father. He hears and answers prayers and He loves all His children. If we ask in faith, he will answer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the standards of the Church the best I can. I know the church is true and because of that I have the desire to keep the commandments and to follow Christ. It's not always easy and I'm not perfect but I try to be the best that I can be. Service to others, going to the Temple, and attending church meetings are things my parents taught me from a young age. Now as an adult, I choose to do these things myself. I try to live my faith by not using bad language, not smoking/drinking alcohol, and choosing to watch movies and tv shows that are good. I always let people know when I am applying for a job that I don't work on Sundays because it is the Sabbath Day. I believe actions speak louder than words and people will notice that we are different because of how we live.
