Hi I'm Kelsie

I am a sassy Italian, born and raised in Henderson, NV. I love the outdoors, adventure, learning. I'm a convert, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student that loves learning about the brain. I want to study the brain and help understand headaches and help provide relief to people with chronic migraines. I am currently serving a mission in Alabama. I love country music, rednecks, Nascar, hunting and fishing, the outdoors, volleyball, make-up, and anything that makes me think. I have learned to love southern drawls, parking cars on lawns, and Alabama football. My favorite animal is an elephant and I have discovered "roll tide" can be put in any sentence, no matter what the context. I love talking to people and know everyone has their own story. I enjoy listening to others and hearing what makes them so special! I love to help in any way I can, no matter what the task.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon when I was 15. Prior to converting to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I was a born again Christian. I learned about the church through friends and diligent study. While I was learning about the gospel I compiled a 20 page research paper explaining just what "mormons" believed in. Through doing my own research I was able to read part of the Book of Mormon and listened to lessons from the missionaries. With their guidance I was able to understand what the Holy Ghost was. I learned by the Holy Ghost and felt a warm, calm, and peaceful feeling enter into my heart each time I read the scriptures or prayed. It was a type of love I clinged to and desperately needed in my life. I enjoyed this feeling and sought it out more. After talking with the missionaries, they were able to explain to me that I can have this feeling with me constantly if I decided to follow our Savior Jesus Christ's example to be baptized. I believe the Holy Ghost is a constant companion and can lead us in our life.Knowing the gospel of Jesus Christ I was able to find a joy and happiness in my life. I was able to overcome many trials and come to love and want to serve others. I was able to see many miracles after I became one of the "Mormons".

How I live my faith

I strive to be an example every day. I know my beliefs and I will stand for them at all times. I am always wearing a smile because I have found genuine joy in my life. I am satisfied with all I have. I know why I am here on earth, and I know where I am going. I live my life so others can see I am truly happy. I am currently serving a full time mission in Alabama. I have the opportunity to speak Spanish and I am able to show the people of Alabama the love and passion I have for life!

Are Mormons Christians?

Kelsie
Mormons are Christians. We believe and follow the Savior's example. Our church is based off of His teachings while He ministered on the Earth. I believe and know the Savior, Jesus Christ. I love Him, and live every day trying my best to follow His direction and example. Show more Show less
