Hi I'm Austin Gamble

I'm from Washington. I'm a missionary preparing to serve in Korea. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! I'm a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I am preparing to serve in Korea! I love my family a lot and am family focused. I'm also a college student studying biochem and planning to go into the medical field. I love helping and serving people as I feel like this is my life goal. It is the same reason why I want to go into the medical field so that I can help people everyday of my life. Oh and yes... I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel. The gospel has been an important part in my life and though I may have grown up in the Church I have had my own personal conversion of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and as a result, the rest of the Church. I know this gospel is true and I know there is a plan for each of us here on the Earth and that we have a loving Heavenly Father that through the prophet directs each of us so that we can return to him. I love this gospel!

How I live my faith

I'm currently a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and am preparing to serve in Korea! I'm so excited to go and help serve the people and bring them unto Christ but also to help serve them in general. I love this gospel and I strive everyday to be a better person and to help those around me.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Austin Gamble
Familes are important to us Mormons because we believe that families can be together forever. Just as we love our families, our Heavenly Father understands that and doesn't want us to be seperated from them in the next life. As a result, we are each sealed to our families so that in the next life we can continue to be with them forever. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Austin Gamble
Some people think that Mormonism is a cult because they believe it was founded by Joseph Smith. However, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was not founded by Joseph Smith but instead by God and our eldest brother Jesus Christ. The LDS church is Christ's restored church. After Christ's crucifiction and atonement, Jesus Christ's church was taken from the earth. During the 1800s', there were many churches, which caused Joseph Smith to ponder and wonder which of these churchs is true. Through reading James 1:5, Joseph Smith decided he needed to pray about which church to join. So on an early spring morning he went to what is called the Sacred Grove and prayed which church to join which he recieved from seeing Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ who told him to join none of them. Instead through a series of events, Jesus Christ through Joseph Smith restored his Church once again with the fulness of the gospel and the priesthood restored once again upon the face of the Earth never again to be taken from it.
